In March 2009, the Department of Geology lead a group of Dickinson students on a tour of the geology of the Rio Grande Rift Valley. The fieldtrip tooks students on a 1500 mile loop through New Mexico and west Texas.. Photos from the trip can be seen here.

Department of Geology welcomes Prof. Nate Lorentz as a visiting Assistant Prof. of Geology..
Prof. Ben Edwards is continuing his NSF funded research in British Columbia this summer with Gwen Dunnington '10 and Everett Lasher '11
Prof. Ben Edwards has taken over duties as Chair of the Department of Geology. Prof. Edwards will serve as Chair for the next three years.
Prof. Marcus Key will be serving his second year as Resident Director of the Norwich Science Program at the University of East Anglia.
Prof. Pete Sak and Marci Wills '10 are working in the Susquehanna River Valley this summer as part of Prof. Sak's ongoing research. |
