Dickinson's Red Devils made college football history on Friday, Sept. 19 when the team celebrated its thousandth football game -- and hundredth match against the Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats -- with an exhilarating 34-20 win. Approximately 5,000 people attended the event, which was the first night game held under Biddle Field's new lights.
As the winning team, the Devils earned the right to retain the coveted Conestoga Wagon Trophy, a golden model of the wagon that transported the Devils and the Diplomats when these longstanding rival teams played each other in the nineteenth century.
