Peruvian Author Mario Vargas llosa recEIves Stellfox Award
December 3-4, 2008


The celebrated Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa came to campus for The Harold and Ethel L. Stellfox Visiting Scholars and Writers Program, established by Jean Stellfox '60 in honor of her parents.

Jean Louise Stellfox '60 was so inspired by a visit by poet Robert Frost (center) in 1959 that she left more than $1 million to Dickinson College. The gift will make it possible each year for a major author to spend a few days on campus.
