Here are some reasons why your school, district, college, or organization should join the NECTFL Advisory Council:

  • The opportunity to help us provide free leadership, advocacy, and professional development to pre-K through university language teachers.

  • Free Excellence in Language Study awards for your students.
  • The right to nominate and vote for candidates to the Board of Directors. (Please use the Board Nomination Form.)

  • The right to nominate candidates to the Nelson H. Brooks Award and the James W. Dodge Award. (Please use the Awards Nomination Form.)

  • The chance to participate in the annual business meeting of NECTFL.

  • The privilege of seeing your institution's name listed in our publications, at our conference, and on our web site as a supporter of NECTFL.

NECTFL is a regional organization with a world-class conference. It has two governing bodies: Board representatives from the northeast region and Advisory Council members and attendees from around the country. The NECTFL region extends from Maine to Virginia and includes the following states: (CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VA, VT, WV) Board members must live and work in this region but, Advisory Council members and conference attendees come from across the country and around the globe!
