IB Language Teachers, Full- and Part-time positions | International Academy / International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Westchester County, New York is now hiring Language Teachers for the 2009 - 2010 school year: We are now hiring language teachers for full and part-time positions that will begin in September 2009: Chinese, Spanish, German, Russian, Norwegian, Korean, and Vietnamese. |
We are looking for experienced high school teachers who have a familiarity with IB and a master's degree in the target language. The right candidate should demonstrate the following qualities: experience, qualifications, professionalism, student-focus, collaborative attitude, flexibility, adaptability, a positive attitude, commitment to on-going professional development, and an interest in international education and multi-cultural learning environments. Preference will be given to native speakers and IB-experienced professionals. We are located on the Metro-North Line, offer a generous compensation and benefits package, and as a residential school, full room and board is also available for the right candidate. |

English-Mandarin Translator/Tutor, short-term position | Translate (2) 45-minute presentation scripts from English into Mandarin pinyin. Tutor one student, a Chinese-American corporate trainer with basic knowledge of Mandarin, in new vocabulary and pronunciation. Topics are: Basic Skin Care and Basic Nutrition. More potential projects in the future. | Fluency in English, Mandarin, and pinyin, both verbal and written. Translation and tutoring experience and references. Familiarity with beauty or health subject areas/vocabulary is a plus. |
