How to access the content on the NECTFL Conference Disc

Note: Only the video can be accessed on a DVD player connected to a TV screen.  To access the reports and guide, you must open the disc in your computer.

 

The 30-MINUTE VIDEO PROGRAM can be played in your computer’s DVD drive or in a DVD player.  To start the video, click on the video title in the blue main menu.  This will take you to the chapter menu.  From here click on PLAY ALL or select a specific chapter.

 

To access the text items 

  1. Put the disc in your computer’s DVD Drive (not CD ROM drive).
  2. If the disc icon does not appear on your desktop, in Windows go to your start menu, and open My Computer, then right-click on the DVD icon. (Left clicking takes you back to the main disc menu.) From the menu window, choose “open” or “explore”.    In Macintosh, click on the finder to open the disc icon.
  3. A window showing three file icons opens:
    • AUDIO_TS
    • VIDEO_TS
    • NECTFL_FILES

            Click on the NECTFL FILES FOLDERS to access the text items as noted below.

 

A 26-page pdf of THE WORKSHOP GUIDE chapter accompanies the video program.  To view the guide, go to your computer’s DVD ROM drive and right-click on the disc icon. You will see three folders; open the folder called NECTFL files.  Then click on the pdf called WorkshopGuide.

 

A 204-page pdf of the CONFERENCE REPORTS.  To view the full reports document, go to your computer’s DVD ROM drive and right-click on the disc icon. You will see three folders; open the folder called NECTFL files. Then click on the pdf called NECTFL_reports_2007.

 

20 INDIVIDUAL CONFERENCE REPORTS and Powerpoint presentations grouped by topic. To view the individual reports documents and Powerpoints, go to your computer’s DVD ROM drive and right-click on the disc icon. You will see three folders; open the folder called NECTFL files. Then click on the folder labeled by topic for the report and Powerpoint you would like to view.  The reports and Powerpoints are identified by the author’s last name.
