IV. NECTFL "BEST OF STATE" SESSIONS PROGRAM

We waive our conference registration fee for these presenters and we send them a $200 check following our conference (one per session) to help defray costs. Please submit your state session, as soon after your conference, as possible at http://www.nectfl.net/proposal/proposalsolicited.cfm.

V. 2010 TEACHER OF THE YEAR COMPETITION
Application deadline to NECTFL January 4, 2010.
The Northeast Conference will participate in the 2010 Teacher of the Year competition. ACTFL requests that the state associations choose a state Teacher of the Year during fall 2009. That person's name and supporting documents should be submitted to Arlene White, NECTFL TOY Committee Chair, 1705 South Mill Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804, by January 4, 2010. During the January meeting, the NECTFL Board's TOY Committee will review all state dossiers and choose a winner who will be announced at the March 2010 Northeast Conference. We encourage all states in our region to publicize this award which helps the profession to designate a spokesperson to carry our message to the wider public and serve as an inspiration to language educators. Please see TOY description here.

VI. THE 2010 MEETING WITH THE STATES AT THE NECTFL CONFERENCE The meeting will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010, at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel as part of our annual conference.
