We had a good turnout; free food will do that. We sold about $200-worth of t-shirts, and received endless compliments on the design. All in all, a great afternoon in the sun!

We elected our new officers! Congratulations to President James Liska and Finance Director Vinca Krajewski on another year in office, and Secretary-elect Dan Soltis on his return to office, as well as our new officers: Vice President-elect Abigail Paul, General Liaison-elect Juan Carlos Flores, and Webmaster-elect, Marie Efromson.

Hosted by the Students for Obama group, pizza and snacks were provided for the students who gathered in Dana Hall to watch the results of the PA primary come in.

March 27th - Former President Bill Clinton Comes to Dickinson!
Our former president came to speak on his wife's behalf in the Kline center, which was packed wall-to-wall, with a line around the block a couple hours before he was scheduled to speak. See the news page for pictures and news articles.
March 27th - Mark Lawrence, Obama Senior Advisor
Mark Lawrence came to speak with us about his role in the Obama campaign. While we had around 300 people attend this event, unfortunately it was somewhat overshadowed by the former president's visit later that day. See the news page for pictures and news articles.
March 18th - Obama Campaign Delegates to Speak
Two Obama surrogates came to campus to speak: Dulee Hill (Charlie from the West Wing) and Zachary Quinto (Sylar from Heroes). They spoke about the importance of voter registration as well as in favor of Obama - it wasn't completely one-sided. See the news page for photos; it's listed as "Voter Registration Rally, Photo Gallery".
March 1st - Washington, DC Trip
After leaving around 6:45 AM on Saturday, we went to DC where we toured the Capitol, went to the Smithsonian, and visited some of the landmarks before having a nice dinner paid for by the club.

Several DCD members went to the Cumberland County Democrats Headquarters to watch the polls coming in and eat the delicious soup sold by the CCD as a fundraiser, the money from which goes towards buying yard signs in the fall.

We discussed upcoming events, the Democratic primary, a few volunteer opportunities that would be available. We also talked about t-shirts!
