SISA is a Student Senate-funded organization which provides the garden with funding and publicity among the student body. With the help of the Garden Director, SISA oversees the daily operation of the garden, publicizes workdays, workshops, farm visits and other events. SISA is made up of both volunteers and paid student workers.

The Garden employs anywhere from 3 to 10 students during the school year and up to 6 students over the summer using funds from the College's Community Service program and the Garden's Innovation Grant. Student employees are responsible for the daily upkeep of the garden from watering, to weeding to planning crop rotations and harvest schedules. Student workers may work between 5 and 15 hours per week during the school year and up to 30 hours per week over the summer. The current wage for garden employment is $7.50/hour. Students interested in working at the garden should contact Jen Halpin at halpinj@dickinson.edu.
