A clean-up deposit will be required by each plot lessee. This deposit should be included in the plot payment. The purpose of this deposit is to ensure that each gardener cleans up his or her garden plot at the end of the season. Plots cleaned up by November 1st, 2009 will be returned their deposits. The deposits of gardeners who fail to meet the clean up deadline will be absorbed into the community garden general fund. To define “garden clean-up”- leased plots are cleared of all crops, weeds, and other vegetation; areas adjacent to leased plots are cleared of trash, tools, and personal belongings; a cover crop or mulch is applied to the garden plot.
Gardening clinics hosted by area Master Gardeners will be coordinated throughout the growing season and serve to enhance community gardeners’ and their friends’ understanding and appreciation for gardening. These workshops will be advertised in the tool shed at the garden. All are welcome to attend.
