The Voice of Dickinson College has a threefold mission:
We strive for excellence in all facets of our mission and broadcasting. Music. Most of our DJs are College students, faculty, and staff; in addition, a number of our DJs are members of the Carlisle and Cumberland Valley communities who are dedicated to amateur radio. Our goal is to promote genres and artists that are underrepresented on the mainstream airwaves and to acheive a truly unique sound that you won't hear anywhere else. Our music directors do not set the playlists for our individual DJs: Instead, we allow each DJ's musical interests and expertise to shine through in his or her show. Our music directors work with our DJs to deepen their knowledge of music and to expose them to new bands and albums that they might like. This is acheived through written reviews of new music and frequent, highly successful music parties, where music directors share information about new music with the DJs. The result is a uniquely diverse and cutting-edge sound. Wherever your own musical tastes may lie, you're sure to find something you love on The Voice! Sports. We are very proud of our sports programming. We strive to provide high-quality, extensive coverage of Dickinson Red Devil sporting events through frequent broadcasts, talented play-by-play calling, and insightful color commentary. No matter where you are, all you need to follow Red Devil sports is an internet connection! We are extremely pleased to offer this service to the Dickinson community. Parents of Dickinson athletes can stay current whether they live in Carlisle or Seattle! Public Affairs. We are pleased to offer top-notch public affairs broadcasting to the community. WDCV presents informed, insightful, and provocative ideas, analyses, and discussions of current events and issues that affect the College and the world. The Bill Durden Show is on every other Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Many other public affairs events are done in conjunction with the Clarke Center, the on-campus center for the interdisciplinary study of contemporary issues. We invite you to learn more about us: You can also check out our schedules: Tune in at 88.3 FM in Carlisle or listen online via WarpRadio anywhere on Earth! | ||||||||||
